|A pressing situation| FNaF: 1:35 A.M. -- Review by Gail

*Disclaimer* The FNaF books do not directly connect or relate to the FNaF Games or the FNaF Movie!

After many, many, many nights of bone chilling dreams and nightmares, both in sleep and awake, Delilah has had enough. Everything she’s done to try and stop from waking up at 1:35am has failed and left her worse than before. From getting fired from her job because she kept on having panic attacks every night, to pushing her best, and only, friend away from her, she’s ready do anything to stop Ella from getting to her.

So, when working the night shift, then sleeping at her best friends house, then sleeping at a motel, then driving around town doesn’t work, Delilah parks her car across a bridge, leaves everything but her flashlight, and runs. She runs, and runs, and runs until she sees an old construction site. Then, using her upper body strength, she pulls herself into a vent and crawls until she “feels safe.”

This story ends with Delilah stuck, unable to move at all in a dark, pitch black vent. Her last thoughts are along the lines of, “Ella will never be able to find me here. No one will.”

Me personally, I didn’t really like this story as much as I would’ve wanted to. It was a really slow story where basically nothing happened, granted, this works for the story because nothing happening is meant to add on to Delilah’s fear and everyone thinking she’s just crazy. But for me, I would have preferred if more occurred in this story other than Delilah sleeping, waking up in terror, and investigating dead ends. The ending however was also disappointing but intriguing in a way. Disappointing for the same reason it’s intriguing, it leaves you questioning so many things.

But, like I said, as one story ends, another begins. So! Tune in next time for the next story in this collection!

  1. Hey Gail, I feel like the ending was more of a cliffhanger than just a disappointing ending. Delilah's last thoughts also possibly suggest that she might be stuck there forever!

    1. Yeah, I can agree with you on that! Most of the stories in the collection seem to have bad endings for the main characters so it is likely that she just died in the vent she was trapped in.
